One crisp autumn morning, I packed my bags and walked into Shenyang North Station. The train’s whistle awakened the slumbering city, and with it, my travel passion was reignited. This time, my destination was Aershan, a place I had long dreamed of visiting. As the train slowly departed from the platform, the scenery outside the window transitioned from the city’s towering skyscrapers to vast fields and the vibrant colors of autumn. The gentle vibrations of the train on the tracks matched the rhythm of my eager and excited heart. Along the way, I pored over travel guides about Aershan, imagining the beauty that awaited me. Renowned for its unique volcanic landscapes and rich natural scenery, Aershan was a place I was impatient to witness firsthand.

After a night of long travel, the morning sun bathed the Aershan platform in light. I took a deep breath of the fresh air, and my fatigue instantly vanished. The air in Aershan was filled with the fragrance of nature, bringing a sense of unparalleled comfort and tranquility. I chose a cozy little inn to stay in, and after settling in, I couldn’t wait to start my exploration. Aershan National Forest Park was the primary destination for this trip. The park’s volcanic crater lakes, Tianchi, and hot springs are all masterpieces of nature. Hiking along the park’s trails, the scenery unfolded like a painting before my eyes. The blue lakes, majestic peaks, and every landscape left me spellbound. Especially the forests interwoven with golden and red leaves, draping the earth in a magnificent robe—each step was a picture in itself.

As a photography enthusiast, one of the main goals of this trip was to capture Aershan’s breathtaking scenery. By Tianchi, I set up my tripod and adjusted my camera, waiting for the perfect light. The morning and evening hours here, with their interplay of light and shadow, created mesmerizing reflections on the lake. I repeatedly pressed the shutter, capturing these natural masterpieces. One time, I found an ideal angle in a forest of red leaves. Sunlight filtered through the leaves and spilled onto the ground, creating a warm and gentle glow. Holding my breath, I carefully adjusted the focus, afraid of missing this fleeting beauty. As I pressed the shutter, it felt as if time itself paused for this beautiful moment.

The scenery outside the train window remained beautiful, but my heart was already filled with the memories of Aershan. Those serene lakes, towering peaks, colorful flower fields, and those perfectly captured moments would become the most precious memories of my life.
