我与Mike的相识是在前一段旅程中，那时我们就因共同的旅行兴趣而结伴同行。他是一位来自加拿大的旅行爱好者，热情而开朗，喜欢探索每一个城市的独特之处。于是，当我们决定从不同的地方出发，分别乘飞机前往天津时，心中充满了期待与憧憬。

I met Mike during a previous trip, and we became travel companions due to our shared love for exploring. Mike is a travel enthusiast from Canada, enthusiastic and cheerful, always eager to uncover the unique aspects of each city. So, when we decided to fly from different places and meet in Tianjin, our hearts were filled with anticipation and excitement.

天津的风景让我们流连忘返。我早就听说过天津之眼，那座矗立在海河上的摩天轮，是这座城市的地标之一。为了拍到它最美的瞬间，我特地寻找了一个绝佳的拍摄位置——一个隐藏在居民楼里的视角。

Tianjin’s scenery enchanted us. I had long heard of the Tianjin Eye, a Ferris wheel standing over the Hai River, one of the city’s landmarks. To capture its most beautiful moment, I sought a perfect vantage point—a view hidden within a residential building.

进入那栋居民楼并不容易，需要提前勘查周围的建筑物，了解遮挡情况。我在周边徘徊了好几天，终于找到一个合适的时间与角度。当夕阳西下，天津之眼被金色的阳光洒满，仿佛一颗巨大的宝石镶嵌在城市的天际线上。我按下快门，将这美丽的瞬间定格，心中充满了成就感。

Entering that building wasn’t easy; I had to scout the surrounding structures to understand the obstructions. After wandering the area for several days, I finally found the right time and angle. As the sun set, the Tianjin Eye was bathed in golden light, resembling a giant gem set against the city’s skyline. I clicked the shutter, freezing this beautiful moment in time, and felt a sense of achievement fill my heart.

当我们在天津汇合时，彼此都带着满满的兴奋与好奇。天津这座城市，既有北方的豪爽，又兼具南方的细腻，是一座充满故事的城市。我们决定从美食开始，探寻这座城市的灵魂。

When we reunited in Tianjin, we were both brimming with excitement and curiosity. Tianjin is a city that combines the ruggedness of the North with the delicacy of the South, a city full of stories. We decided to start our exploration with the city’s soul—its food.

听说天津的大肘子十分有名，我们便兴致勃勃地开始寻找这道传说中的美味。经过多番打听，我们终于在一个幽深的胡同里找到了一家小店。那是一家没有显眼招牌的小店，门脸虽小，却充满了浓郁的市井气息。店里的桌椅简单，客人不多，都是些本地人，这更让我们确信这里必定藏着一份地道的美味。

Having heard about the famous Tianjin pork knuckle, we eagerly set out to find this legendary delicacy. After much inquiry, we finally found a small eatery hidden in a deep alley. It was a tiny place without a noticeable sign, yet it exuded a strong local vibe. The tables and chairs were simple, and there weren’t many customers, all of whom were locals. This reassured us that we had found a place with authentic flavors.

我们点了一份素菜和一份特色大肘子。当那大肘子端上桌时，我们立刻被它的香气所吸引。肘子的色泽红润，皮脆肉嫩，肥而不腻。店家的烹饪技艺果然不凡，那种独特的风味仿佛带我们穿越回了过去的岁月。我们一边品尝美食，一边与店主聊起了天津的风土人情，感受到这座城市的温暖与包容。

We ordered a vegetable dish and their signature pork knuckle. When the pork knuckle was served, we were immediately captivated by its aroma. The knuckle had a reddish hue, with crispy skin and tender meat, rich but not greasy. The chef’s culinary skills were truly remarkable, and the unique taste transported us back to bygone days. As we savored the food, we chatted with the owner about Tianjin’s local customs, feeling the warmth and hospitality of the city.

在天津的日子很快过去，我继续北上，来到了首都北京。北京，这座既古老又现代的城市，每一个角落都蕴藏着深厚的历史与文化。我在这里认识了宇哥，一个热爱中国传统文化的人。

Our days in Tianjin passed quickly, and I continued north to Beijing, the capital. Beijing, a city both ancient and modern, has a rich history and culture in every corner. It was here that I met Yu, a person passionate about traditional Chinese culture.

宇哥是个多才多艺的人，他擅长中国古典乐器，喜欢书法，平时还会在家里画竹子。他的家就像是一个小小的艺术殿堂，墙上挂满了他的书画作品，古琴和箫放在角落，随时都可以弹奏。我们在他的家中度过了一个美好的下午，他向我展示了他的书法和画作，还亲自为我弹奏了一曲古琴，悠扬的琴声仿佛把我们带回了古代的江南水乡。

Yu is a versatile artist, skilled in classical Chinese instruments and calligraphy, and he often paints bamboo at home. His house felt like a small art gallery, with walls adorned with his calligraphy and paintings, and a guqin and flute placed in the corner, ready to be played. We spent a delightful afternoon at his home, where he demonstrated his calligraphy and artwork, and even played a piece on the guqin for me. The melodious sound transported us to the ancient Jiangnan water towns.

北京的公园是我们旅行中的另一大亮点。宇哥带我去了北海公园和石景山公园，这两处地方各有特色，充分展现了北京的自然与历史之美。

Beijing’s parks were another highlight of our trip. Yu took me to Beihai Park and Jingshan Park, each with its own charm, showcasing Beijing’s natural beauty and historical depth.

北海公园是北京著名的皇家园林之一，园内湖光山色，亭台楼阁交相辉映。我们漫步在湖边，看着水中的倒影，仿佛进入了一个仙境。宇哥向我讲述了公园的历史和其中的文化故事，让我对这座城市有了更深的理解。

Beihai Park is one of Beijing’s renowned imperial gardens, featuring picturesque lakes and pavilions. We strolled along the lake, admiring the reflections in the water, feeling as if we had stepped into a fairyland. Yu told me about the park’s history and cultural stories, deepening my understanding of the city.

景山公园则以其独特的地貌和丰富的历史遗迹吸引了我们。站在山顶，我们俯瞰整个北京城，古老与现代的建筑在视野中交织，形成了一幅壮丽的画卷。在这里，我们感受到了北京的宏伟与包容，这座城市用它独特的方式欢迎着每一个到来的旅人。

Jingshan Park, with its unique topography and rich historical relics, also captivated us. From the top of the hill, we gazed over the entire city of Beijing, where ancient and modern buildings intertwined to form a magnificent panorama. Here, we felt Beijing’s grandeur and inclusiveness, a city that warmly welcomes every traveler.

这次天津、北京的背包旅行，让我和Mike不仅享受了美食与风景，更在旅行中不断成长与收获。我们结识了新的朋友，了解了更多的文化，感受到了这两座城市的独特魅力。

This backpacking trip to Tianjin and Beijing allowed Mike and me to enjoy not only the cuisine and scenery but also to grow and gain throughout our journey. We met new friends, learned more about different cultures, and experienced the unique charm of these two cities.
